Have lived in Louisiana all my life - THIS is the standard bearer of restaurants in the entire state. The absolute best. My soul never felt more at peace than when I was approaching these doors and Frank Sinatra was playing as I entered. Just such a classic and vintage ambience.

So many lovely memories here. - Ask for the breadsticks. - Say hi to Tony. ;) - Great coffee service. - Beautiful limoncello. - Absolute angels. Eggplant Parmesan is the best, as I am visiting home I have to order seafood. - I need to come back this week for the Stuffed Mirliton special. When we were young ladies a papa would always come around and make sure we had enough to eat and that gave me such beautiful memories of home. Love going with my BFF who they really know. Haha. We were always treated like family here. It's at the top of my list to visit when I come home.

About the best italian food we’ve eaten ever. I loved their spaghetti sauce, is not sweet nor acidic and their veal meatball is enough for 2. We also had the house specialty cannelloni with veal and it was amazing! We had banana creme brûlée, it was good but I’ll pass on that next time. The staff were very good and courteous.

While riding the street car, we got a recommendation. We visited on a Saturday for an early dinner, it was already starting to get busy (get a reservation). Great old school generational Italian atmosphere. We ordered a bottle of wine and the Rockefeller Oysters...they were outstanding!! For dinner, we ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and the Veal Roberto. Both dishes were excellent!! Very fresh ingredients and well prepared. We saw desserts moving around the restaurant and they looked really good! However, we opted for 'liquid dessert' and got an espresso martini and an old fashioned. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was excellent! They do Italian right!!

I think their appetizers are more delicious than their main dishes. The meatball toast was really good and the fried artichoke low-key tasted like fried chicken. I ordered chicken marsala and it was too salty... the side dish that came with it tasted better... the tiramisu was delicious. This place is kind of dark and crowded.

Snuck in here in between sets with my cousin who was doing a gig at Jazz fest then at Carrolton Station to grab some food. Man that Seafood Medallions dish was so good!! It's paneed eggplant layered with jumbo lump crabmeat and shrimp, topped with a creole crawfish cream sauce. Definitely get that dish there!!

I've traveled a fair amount abroad and travel is required very frequently in my line of work. I love to try new food and whats popular, but I also stick to my true favorites like Italian. Lived in Louisiana all my life and my wife and I come to New Orleans 1-2x and month, always trying something new. We've passed this location several times and we always wanted to stop in some time. And wow, we were soo glad we chose to come here tonight. The atmosphere was dimly lit but very lively. The hostess was personable and the waiter was very about business yet had a warmer side. I asked him about the restaurant and it's history and he gave me a brief run down of the family and turns out he's a nephew of the late Vincent, and has been working with the restaurant 34 years. The food was awesome start to finish, the bread was very hot and the whipped butter was wonderful with it. Our entrée's came with a vegetable soup but she opted out of the soup and upcharged slightly getting the salad. The salad was absolutely worth it, it had a delicious pesto in it. I had the lasagna and she had the cannelloni, of which I paired wine with mine-she paired a Pomegranate Limoncello Martini with hers. If that didn't hit the spot enough, we decided to knock ourselves out and go for dessert! We shared the Tiramisu and got a Cannoli (to-go), the TIramisu was soo good we were over the moon after the Cannoli (couldn't wait). Soo all in all we were impressed which isn't all the time at a restaurant, it's luck of the draw. But if you're looking for romantic-esc hole-in-the-wall and delicious food, look no further. Shout out to Ray our server, the nephew of the original founder, the late Vincent.

Vincent’s on St. Charles is an absolute gem for classic Italian comfort food done right. We ordered the veal Parmesan, and it was outstanding—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and smothered in rich marinara with just the right amount of melted cheese. A true Italian classic executed perfectly. We paired it with a side of pasta Alfredo, which was creamy, flavorful, and indulgent without being overly heavy. We also had the chicken Alfredo as a main, and it was just as impressive—generous portions of perfectly grilled chicken nestled into fettuccine drenched in a decadent Alfredo sauce. Just look at the pictures—it tasted even better than it looks! From the old-school red tablecloths to the warm, attentive service, everything about Vincent’s feels authentically New Orleans Italian. It’s cozy, delicious, and full of charm. If you’re in the Garden District and craving Italian, this place is a must.
